We do like to see ourselves as a responsible business in everything that we do. We use our own boxes for sending out some orders, but in addition re-use existing cartons for other orders, as well as for in store purchases and for packaging within boxes sent out. Outside of this any cardboard which is not used for these purposes is recycled.
With the void fill we have purposely looked to stay away from the harmful styrofoam type product and instead use a bio-degradable fill product called BioFill. Bio-Fill has been manufactured from renewable resources being made of 100% natural starch making it compostable whilst being static, odour and dust free. Once water is applied to Bio-Fill it quickly breaks down. Because we sell glass products we need to ensure that everything has suitable protection for its journey from our warehouse to the customer's door. We have found our approach to ensuring that everything is packaged safely and securely means that there are minimal breakages. As well as saving money and headaches for both ourselves as well as the customer, it reduces our contribution to CO2 emissions by meaning fewer re-deliveries by Australia Post.
Outside of this our approach to craft beer is that it is all about quality over quantity. Every year we seek to raise funds for BeyondBlue which seeks to address the issue of Male Depression which we feel quite strongly about. In 2015 we raised over $2,500, we are hoping to double this in 2016.
For any Sponsorship requests:
Hi [NAME],
Thanks for your email. We get a large number of requests each year for sponsorship, and while we would love to do something for everyone it is just not possible. Rather than try to pick out one cause over another we have instead decided to focus our efforts on supporting Male Depression and Male Cancer.
Wishing you all the best with your cause.
Kind regards,
