A well thought out and clever headline for a blog post (or any other shared content) can strongly determine the "clickability" of the content, i.e. how likely someone that sees it will click on the headline and view the content that has been created.
A blog headline needs to:
Explain - make clear to the reader what they are about to read
Intrigue - get peoples attention
Entice - spark curiosity so they want to read
Encourage - people to take action. Read or do whatever next step
People read the headline 5 times more often than the body so it should be a major area of focus
Write the headline specifically for your target audience
