Customer had a gift certificate that was purchased through BeerCartel website which is hosted on Big Commerce and they are trying to place an order for a BeerCartel beer subscription which is hosted on Shopify and because those two platforms are different we need to cancel the original certificate and deactivate. As a result, we need to create another online voucher that the customer can use on the Shopify platform.
To create a Gift Certificate through Shopify, you'll need to:
A. Disable Gift Certificate
Go to Big Commerce
Click Orders
Click Gift Certificate
Search for Customer's name
Set Status to Disabled
B. Create Gift Card
Go to Shopify
Click Discounts
Click Create Discount on the upper right corner
On the Create discount code field, paste the customer's original code.
Set Fixed amount for Types
Enter the original amount for Discount value
Applies to All products
No minimum requirements needed
Set Customer Eligibility under the customer's email address.
Usage Limits should be set for ONE time use
Set Start date and End date to preferred Active dates for voucher
Hit Save on the upper right corner of the page
C. Reply
Go to Re:amaze
Inform customer that we have created an updated version of the Gift Certificate
Make sure to include voucher code
Hit Reply and Archive

B. Create Discount Code via Shopify Bold Cashier
Go Shopify (https://beer-cartel.myshopify.com/admin)
Head to Apps on the left-hand side menu
Go through Bold Cashier > Off Discounts
Click Create Discount Code at the top right
Fill in the blanks i.e. Name (arbitrary), Discount Code (may Generate Code), Discount Value (e.g. Perfect Off, Dollar Amount Off)
Set limits e.g. Use limit per (1), Date Range (Start Date - End Date)
Hit Save
Respond to the customer in Reamaze accordingly
