A 90 Day Action Plan is our process for continuously developing the business and ourselves as individuals.
If as a business we could improve by just 1% each day, through the power of compounding that would result in a massive 3,680% improvement over the course of a year!
To help achieve continuous improvements we each use a 90 Day Action Plan - the concept behind this is to find up to 5 projects (we recommend 3) to work on over the course of the next 90 days. These projects could be a business improvement, a skill/knowledge improvement as a team member or a personal improvement. They are project that are done in addition to our normal work - they may be done during our normal work hours or outside of them.
The concept behind this is, as well as helping Beer Cartel as a business, is that it keeps us all engaged and helps us to grow as individuals.
An example of some 90 Day Action Plan projects are listed below:
Business Improvement Projects examples:
- Creating a new system/process for a task we do, adding it to the Intranet and then teaching it to others e.g. Filling Growlers
- Identifying an inefficient process that we currently do and working out a better way to do it
- Marketing improvements e.g. related to social media engagement, building our database etc
- Knowledge improvements e.g. related to different business tasks or around craft beer
- Any other opportunities where you think we can grow as a business e.g. running events etc
At the core of these projects is that we want to increase sales, efficiency/productivity, knowledge, or the amount of people that we can inspire and take on a journey into the world of craft beer
Skill/Knowledge Improvement Projects examples:
- Increasing skills e.g. Forklift License, Cicerone Qualification, Manager Training etc
- Knowledge development e.g. better understanding beer styles, brewery knowledge etc
Personal Improvement Projects examples:
- Increasing Health, Fitness, Public Speaking etc - other examples here
