Note: Mailchimp audience does not automatically update on Facebook, this is need to be done manually each time.

Set Up a Facebook Custom Audience With Your MailChimp List

• This feature requires Manager user level or higher.

Before You Start

• • Audiences must include at least 20 people to be used for Facebook Ads.

  • To create an audience from a segment of your list, export the segment from your MailChimp account, and upload the file to Facebook.

  • Facebook Custom Audiences do not update automatically as subscribers are added to your MailChimp list. You'll need to rebuild your audience each time you want to create a targeted ad for them.

From Facebook Ads Creation

• 1. Log in to your Facebook account and create a new ad.

  2. On step 1 of the ad creation, choose the objective for your ad campaign, and type in any required information.

• 1. On step 2 of the ad creation, type in the country, currency, and time zone for your account.

  2. Scroll to the Who do you want your ads to reach? section on step 3 of the ad creation, and click Create New Custom Audience .

• 1. In the Create Custom Audience pop-up modal, click Customer List.

• 1. Click Import from MailChimp.

• 1. Click Log in to MailChimp.

  2. In the Connect Facebook Custom Audiences to your account pop-up modal, input your MailChimp login credentials, and click Log In.

• 1. Check the boxes next to the lists you want to use to create your audience, and click Create Audience.

From the Ads Manager

• 1. From the Ads Manager dashboard in your Facebook account, click Audiences in the navigation panel.

• 1. On the Audiences page, click Create a Custom Audience.

• 1. In the Create a Custom Audience pop-up modal, click Customer List.

• 1. Click Import from MailChimp .

• 1. Click Log in to MailChimp.

  2. In the Connect Facebook Custom Audiences to your account pop-up modal, input your MailChimp login credentials, and click Log In.

• 1. Check the boxes next to the lists you want to use to create your audience, and click Create Audience.
