Public Holidays

Beer Cartel is closed all Public Holidays. These can be found at: https://www.nsw.gov.au/about-nsw/nsw-public-holidays

For 2016/17 these are:

1 Applies to banks and certain financial institutions, see the Retail Trading Act 2008.

2 From 31.12.11 when Australia Day (26th of January) falls on a Saturday or a Sunday, there will be no public holiday on that day, as the following Monday will be declared a public holiday.

3 From 31.12.11 the Holiday Act provides for an extra public holiday to be added when New Year's Day, Christmas Day or Boxing Day falls on a weekend.

Liquor stores have restricted trading days over the Easter, ANZAC and Christmas holiday period.

Some of these are legislated by NSW Liquor & Gaming and some are legislated by NSW Industrial Relations

Easter For Packaged Liquor Licences (i.e. bottle shops) these are:

Good Friday - NO trading permitted (Beer Cartel CLOSED)

Easter Saturday - normal trading (by default Beer Cartel is normally OPEN on this day)

Easter Sunday - normal trading IF exempt under Retail Trading Laws. (see exempt trading details and determine if will Beer Cartel will open, based on Small Shop exemption and requirement based on workload of the business)

Easter Monday - normal Trading (by default Beer Cartel is normally CLOSED on this day)

ANZAC Day For Packaged Liquor Licences (i.e. bottle shops) these are:

Allowed to trade from 1PM til 10pm. By default Beer Cartel is always CLOSED ANZAC Day

Christmas For Packaged Liquor Licences (i.e. bottle shops) these are:

Christmas Eve - normal trading (Beer Cartel OPEN til 6pm)

Christmas Day - NO trading permitted (Beer Cartel CLOSED)

Boxing Day - normal trading IF exempt under Retail Trading Laws. (by default Beer Cartel CLOSED on Boxing Day)

New Years Eve - normal trading (Beer Cartel OPEN)

New Years Day - normal trading (by default Beer Cartel CLOSED on Boxing Day)
