Long Span Shelving
Long span shelves are available in 1200mm, 1500mm or 1800mm wide shelves. Add to this the frame width 55mm to get total bay width. So a bay of 1500mm shelving would be 1500 + 55 + 55 = 1610mm
The depth of shelving can be 400mm, 600mm or 800mm.
Height can be 2m, 2.5m or 3m
Load per long span shelf:
1500mm shelf = 635kg
1800mm shelf = 530kg
Load per long span bay:
Each bay (pair of vertical frames) has a capacity of up to 4 tonne.
Pallet Racking
Beam standard measurements (measured from the inside of the beam):
1372 (1 pallet bay), either a 50mm or 80mm box beam with 3 pins. The 50mm is rated to 650kg and the 80mm is rated to 3200kg
2591 (2 pallet bay), often 100mm x 50mm box beam with 3 pins and rated to 2400kg. These can sometimes also be 90mm box beam which then reduces the weight capacity.
2743 (2 pallet bay), often 100mm x 50mm box beam with 4 pins and rated to 2100kg. These can sometimes also be 90mm box beam which then reduces the weight capacity.
3810 (3 pallet bay), often 140mm x 50mm box beam with 4 pins and rated to 2400kg.
For calculating the total width you need to add in 90mm to the above for the frame. So a bay of 2591 would be 2591 + 90 + 90 = 2771.
Racking Frames
Height varies but what was purchsaed for Brewquets at Kennards was 3658mm in height but come in long or shorter heights as well.
A bay (pair of vertical frames) have a total load capacity of 9-10 tonne per bay assuming the first beams are fixed below 1600mm high. If the first beams in the bay start above 1600mm from the ground then the load capacity per bay (pair of frames) is reduced to 8 tonne, this is because there is no bracing at a lower height.
