99 Designs

99 Designs in a website where by you can submit a design project, e.g. logo, business card, sign, poster, t-shirt, packaging design etc. and you will have the community of over 100,000 designers from around the work possibly submitting their design ideas.

Some considerations when posting a job:

Guaranteed vs Not Guaranteed

When you guarantee a job you are stating that you will definitely pick a winner. This increases the likely number of submissions as all designers know that at least 1 person will be selected as the winning design. There is no "money back" when you guarantee a job. If you do not Guarantee the job you are not obliged to select a winning design.

3 Types of Projects

1. Public - anyone on the web can see the project and the URL is not hidden from search.

2. Private - the project is hidden from search egnines and only the designers / 99 design community can see the project. The intent is to increase confidentiality of the project. There is a cost of $79 to make a project private.

3. Blind - Designer entries are hidden from other designers during the contest, only being revealed at the end of the project. This is intended to encourage designers to be unique with their design submissions.

General Project Timeframes

7 days the project is open: 4 days for design submissions (during which time you can provide feedback) and 3 days of to work closely with a short list of designers.

Day 7 select a winner and then have 5 days to work further with that designer to finalise the design.

Once a Project is Live here are some timeframes:

Qualifying round

Duration: 4 days

Designers begin submitting concepts. Be patient, it may take a few days before the best designs come in. Leave feedback, use star ratings and decline designs you don't like.

Select finalists

Duration: 4 days

Pick up to six designers to continue working with in the Final Round. Once you select finalists your prize is guaranteed and you're onto the final stretch. You can always choose additional designs for a discounted fee of $904 each excluding GST.

Final round

Duration: 3 days

The goal here is to perfect your designs before choosing a winner (or winners). It's important to provide detailed feedback to designers so they can hone in on exactly what you need.

Select winner(s)

Duration: 14 days

Choose the design you love most. You can even choose additional designs for a discounted fee of $904 each excluding GST. Don't worry, designers are happy to provide final revisions in the handover phase.

Final files

Duration: 5 days
