If a parcel is required to be sent back to Beer Cartel, e.g.:
1. A customer has received an item that was delivered damaged and a replacement pack needs to be sent out, but the remainder of the damaged item could be resold to re-coup any losses then a Australia Post Call for Returns is the best solution.
2. A customer has been sent the incorrect item and would like to have it replaced with the correct item. E.g. was sent a case of Session IPA instead of IPA or the wrong style glass has been sent to the customer. In these instances provide the customer with the following 3 options - if they select option 1 then continue with the rest of the instructions on this page.
Hi David,
Sorry about this. Doesn't happen often. Miss picks impact less than 0.05% of all parcels we dispatch but unfortunately it seems like the "stange" part was overlooked in this instance.
There are 3 options available for you:
1. I can have a pre-paid return parcel label sent to you for the glasses you have there. You would just need to print it, repack the items, attach the label to the parcel and pop down your nearest Post Office and drop off the parcel over the counter. We would then also get the correct glasses dispatched from our warehouse.
2. If you are happy to just keep the glasses you received instead of the ones you ordered then that is OK. They are almost twice the price but there would be no additional charge.
3. If you are happy to keep the glasses you were sent and would also like to re-order the stange, simply please a new order online and it will be processed accordingly.
Let me know which option you would like to go with and we can take it from there.
Cheers,
NOTE: each potential call for returns needs to be done on a case by cases basis
This needs to be assessed on a case by case basis as each parcel that is called for return is $11.26 to be returned to us (if dropped off at local post office by customer) or $11.26 + $7.45 (if customer needs Australia Post to pick up the parcel from their location).
This cost is the same Australia Wide.
To complete a Call for Return follow these steps:
1. Log into Australia Post
2. If the call for return is from a previously dispatched order the search for the order and copy the Consignment Number
3. Go to Returns > Domestic Returns
4. Paste the Consignment number in the marked field and hit search, the other fields will self populate.
5. Select if customer is taking to post office or if parcel requires pick up.
6. If you are having the item picked up by Australia Post from the customers address then enter pick up instructions.
7. Change the email address to [email protected] This is the address that the PDF label is sent too. This allows us to track the parcel as well as forward on the PDF with instructions for the customer (plus have a copy ourselves)
8. Ensure that the "Line Items" at the bottom reflect the number of parcels you would like to have returned.
9. Once all details are entered and correct click "Submit"
10. Once submitted a pop up will show asking if you would like to print labels or send via email. Select send via email (change the address to [email protected] so that it is emailed to Beer Cartel and not the customer). Once downloaded attach the label to an email being sent to the customer.
Select on of the below email templates - changing content accordingly
TEMPLATE 1:
Hi Denise,
Following up from the call just then, please find attached a label for returning the undamaged beers.
Once you have repacked the items in the box, simply print the label and attach it to the parcel. Then drop off over the counter at a local Post Shop - the label is all pre-paid.
For packaging, scrunched up newspaper / catalogues etc are great void filler / packing if you have some around.
We will have another replacement pack/the correct items dispatched tomorrow for you.
Again sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while we sort this out for you.
Cheers,
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING
Call for returns can allow for the parcel to be picked up by Australia Post from the customers address or if willing the customer can apply a label and drop the parcel off at the local post office.
If the parcel is being picked up from the customer then no label is printed and Australia Pick up the parcel and apply a label.
If the parcel is being dropping off over the counter at a local Australia Post office then the customer will need to apply a label. If sending a replacement item you can pre-print the label for the customer or the customer can print the PDF you send them on their own printer.
Having Australia Post pick up the parcel is more expensive but does save the customer the need to take to the post office. This is a case by case scenario as to which option is chosen.
