In 2021 Valentines Day fell on a Sunday which meant we were unable to delivery on the 14th of February. It was also during Covid-19.
The approach we took was to have the preferred date delivery selector available up until 9am the 8th of February for the option to select the 10th of February as the preferred delivery date (during Covid-19 we were dispatching 2 days in advance for express preferred day delivery).
Then at about 10am on the 8th of February the 4 key products (Valentine Hamper, Dozen, Long Stem and Cocktail canister) were switched over to just offering Standard and *Express - Read Below options.

These are the average express delivery times for each destination from dispatch. We dispatch within 1 business day of order placement.
ACT / NSW / Brisbane / Gold Coast / Sunshine Coast: 1-2 business days
VIC / All other QLD: 2- 3 business days
SA: 3-4 business days
On Friday the 12th of February the products were switched back to offering preferred date delivery with the post code validator so as to remove people from distant locations selecting express and making no money on their orders.
