The square can beer advent calendar and outer shipper was tested to see how much heat was transferred on hot days.
The outer box and the advent box offers a lot of protection from the elements with all sides being triple walled insulated.
From tests done on a 37 degree day in November the following results occurred:
Warehouse control test
Warehouse 25 degrees
Inside box (probe in middle of advent box between can and divider wall) 23.4 degrees
Advent Box with Outer Box in direct sunlight for 1 hour - probe in middle of box
Outdoor temp in shade 35.5 degrees
Outdoor temp in sun 39 degrees
Temp inside box (probe in the middle of advent box between can and divider wall) 24.5 degrees
Advent Box with Outer Box in direct sunlight for 1 hour - probe towards outside of box
Outdoor temp in shade 35.5 degrees
Outdoor temp in sun 39 degrees
Temp inside box (probe inside advent box but towards the outside, between outer can and advent calendar box wall) 27.2 degrees
On both tests all cans were cool to the touch and were comparable to a can being picked up / handled at ambient temperature.
