Posting to Social Media

We use Buffer for creating scheduled posts to multiple social media accounts at once.

For Visual Posts which are then shared to Instagram.

Process:

1. Add content (including any web links) and image

2. Create a scheduled post selecting Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.

When the scheduled post is due to go to Instagram

1. A message will appear on the Hootsuite app on the phone.

2. Select post to Instagram, this will then copy the content of the post and open Instagram

3. In Instagram choose next and choose any filter you would like to apply to the image

4. Paste the content of the post - this will have been copied at 2.

5. Select Tumblr as apps to post to and then hit post.

Do not select Twitter or Facebook channel. Twitter will be posted via If This Then That (IFTTT) while Facebook was

Buffer using If This Then That (IFTTT) will then take the post from Instagram send it to Twitter.

For Link Based Posts (& posts that aren't being made to Instagram)

Process:

1. Select channels to post to (Facebook, Twitter, Google+ & LinkedIn). Create scheduled post and click post.

For Buffer you can also reschedule previously successful posts by going into the post and choosing reschedule.
