How to use the Search Bar

This page describes searching for products on the Beer Cartel website used most especially when recommending beers to the customers.

Example Scenario:

• • Customer asking recommendations for a particular occasion (Be extra careful with this to be specific with gift type)

  • Customer unsure of what the giftee fancies but has an idea or clues e.g. beer style, flavor, or strength

Process:

• 1. If needed, ask the customer for more info; otherwise, proceed to search with the clues on hand

  2. Go to https://www.beercartel.com.au/

  3. At the upper-right-hand area of the website, locate the Search Bar

  4. Enter keywords e.g. "IPA, Dark Ale, Lager, Pilsner"

  5. On results screen, make sure to tick "Show Only In Stock" at the left-hand area, normally highlighted in green

  6. At the right-hand area, best to Sort By Best Selling to show most popular beers

  7. Copy the URL and use it on your response when recommending to the customer

Alternative:

• 1. Go through the menu bar and head to specific categories i.e. By Strength, By Style, Flavor

  2. This would provide more specific/targeted results based on selection

  3. On results screen, filter to Show Only In Stock and Best Selling

On Reamaze:

• • If the customer emailed, you may use a hyperlink to mask the URL and so the customer will just have to click the link

  • If the customer contacted via messenger, hyperlink does not work. Instead, just paste the entire URL which will convert into a link once sent. (Depending on the customer's device, especially newer devices, URLs would automatically convert to hyperlinks -clickable links.
