Weighing Scales

On the shelves above the growler station there is a small digital scale. It weighs up to 5kg and can be used to determine the weight of items to be shipped for the website (up to 5kg) as well as the weight of squealer and growler bottles when filled - which is equivalent to the volume held in the vessel. The latter being done to meet a basic requirement of Department of Weights and Measures.

To determine the weight, and subsequent volume, of a growler fill it with water. Once it reaches 1.9L this is when it is "full" and a fill line can be marked at this point. Any fill that goes above this will then be considered to be "fuller" and therefore the customer is in front.

Batteries for the scale is CR2032 3V button battery. These can be purchased via eBay.
