Same Day Pallet Delivery

USING TIFS TO ORGANISE

Once pallets are ready from TIFS you can get them to organise a pick up. The best and most cost effective option is their "Next Day" service. This simply means that the pallet is "booked in" on day one and then picked up and delivered on day two. The pallets do not go to a depot overnight. 

Check the rate card document attached for next day pallet charges. 

Cost from 2017 were 4 pallets "Next Day" = $149.50

If requiring same day delivery, i.e. book pick up in the morning to have delivered same day this is about twice as expensive and is to be avoided. 

Cost from 2017 were 4 pallets same day "VIP" direct = $$297.67

USING RPM FREIGHT

For same day pallet delivery you can use a company called RPM Freight who we have used in the past and are reliable. 

The office manager is Maree (or Rose in her absence) and is a good contact to get pricing and some discounts.

For 2017 the prices were as follows for between 5-10 pallets delivered in one go.

5 pallets is $208.22 ex GST but inclusive of fuel levy

10 pallets is $416.45 ex GST but inclusive of fuel levy

Some caveats on this:

- Pick up must be early morning (7.30-8.30AM). If it is afternoon then costs will increase substantially (2x the rates above) as they will be considered as same day VIP pallet delivery.

- Ensure a time slot has been booked in with the 3PL warehouse that are dispatching the pallets

Pallets from Artarmon (Beer Cartel) to Ingleburn (TIFS)

In 2017 we had 4 pallets of cardboard needing to be delivered to TIFS 3PL (these had incorrectly been delivered to us in Artarmon instead of direct from Visy to TIFS). 

As this required to be booked within TIFS delivery times of 7.30AM to 13.30PM on a same day delivery service, the cost of the 4 pallets was $302.64 + GST. Pallet size was booked in as 1.2 x 1.2 x 1.6 at 150kg per pallet (as it was only cardboard inserts). UPDATE: a request was made to TIFS if they could allow for an all day delivery window which they accepted up until 4.30PM. This meant the price was only $166 + GST, a significant saving.
