Signature vs ATL with Express Post
For express parcels Australia Post does not allow customers to change to ATL after the parcel has been dispatched (if they had not provided the ATL at time of ordering). Unlike standard post where customers can change to ATL post dispatch.
If you select the middle option in Australia Post merchant portal (i.e. "Authority to leave can be requested by receiver") it will default to Signature Required. While not confirmed by Australia Post this is likely because parcels travel much faster through their networks and therefore there is limited time to make / see the change. Unfortunately there is no ability to change delivery instructions for Express parcels post dispatch.

Australia Post Express Delivery Network Postcodes
Express post is used to get parcels to certain destinations around Australia next business day. With eParcel Express post there is no guarantee for next business day delivery but the success rate is quite high. This is the service used for Brewquets for Valentines Day deliveries as well as other Specific Day deliveries as selected by customers throughout the year.
