Since April 2017 we have had a floor stack for a "promo" beer(s). This floor stack is to the left of the 3 main fridges and is visible when entering the shop from the front door.
Some things to consider:
- This is not a place to shift old/short/past coded stock
- The intention is to offer value for customers and avoid positioning as "Cheap" but rather great value.
- IPAs and Pale Ales are great movers
- Price points that will assist in shifting stock are Pales Ales @ $59.99 and IPA @ $69.99
- Low ABV beers or mid strengths do not seem to perform well so avoid these.
- Cans are preferred as they allow for more stock to be stacked up in the small allocated space
- Ensure signage is clear, see attached sign template which can be used.
- If loading the reduced price online then consider margins, it may be necessary to increase the case price online to be $10 more than the in store price to ensure stock is not sold at a loss when factoring in shipping cost.
- Load RSA with the special price that is being used in store. Any differing price that is used online can be overwritten when the order is entered in RSA.
- Depending on the brand, stock freshness and price point look to order between 20-40 cases of the stock.
- Have 2 beer stacks, of 2 different beers. This provides at least 2 options for customers.
