International Money Transfer / Foreign Currency Transfer

This is done through OFX (Formerly OzForex). It is significantly cheaper than paying via credit card, bank transfer or PayPal, typically by a couple of percentage points.

1. Login to OFX https://au.ofx.com

Username: beercartel

Password is located in passwords word document

2. Get a quote for the currency you are wanting to pay into e.g. if paying $5,000 USD then you will want to buy $5,000 USD, click Go.

3. You will then be provided with a quote - if you are happy with it click Continue.

4. If you have already created a recipient then you can select this recipient, include a reference and reason e.g. marketing services and click finalise. If you have to create a recipient then you will need the following information:

Currency sending to recipient (receiving bank account):

Are you paying yourself or third party?: {Typically third party}

Reason for payment: {e.g. purchase of stock, provision of services}

Recipient Name/Details – the details of the company/person funds are being sent to

Recipient Type: {Most likely a Private Company}

Recipient Full Name: {Full business name}

Create a Nickname for this recipient: {Use the company name for this}

FedWire/Routing Number/ABA OR SWIFT/BIC code

Recipient Address: {Full address}
