Customers will occasionally ask for same day delivery of their products.
We can do this for Sydney customers only as long as the order is placed before midday (12pm).
The cost of this is the standard delivery price ($9.99) plus delivery charge from MailCall. Click here to view the MailCall price list. This price is then rounded up to the nearest $5 e.g. if the MailCall charge is $13.78 we then tell the customer this is $15 on top of the existing delivery charge.
Should a customer request same day delivery we ask them to place their order online and in the delivery comments box write "Same day delivery please. I accept the additional charges".
Once this has been done:
1. Process the additional charge via Eway.
2. Update the staff notes in BigCommerce - "Same day delivery requested by customer. Additional amount $X charged via Eway".
3. If an updated order is requested by the customer click on the cog for the order in Bigcommerce and select edit order
a. Click Next to get to stage 3 Shipping
b. Under Shipping Method Choose a Provider Select Custom
c. Enter the total cost of the shipping inclusive of the standard charge + additional MailCall charge rounded up to the nearest $5
d. At stage 4 Payment select Manual Payment. Click the check box Email invoice to Customer?
e. Click Save and Process payment
4. Create the parcel consignment through MailCall.
