0:02 This video is about the Dear Inventory module. Just a very top line, mainly around just the view that you kind of have when you go to it.
0:11 So when you go into Inventory, what you wanna do is come down onto Search and you wanna go Search Products.
0:16 This is where 99% of our, our products will be. And where you'll wanna go to look at the details around those products.
0:25 So this is the overview part of it. So this is just a complete list of all products that we stock, whether that's in the variants of six packs, four packs, the singles, even through things like boxes, stickers, anything that's an inventory product will be, will be listed here.
0:44 The main thing that's very different around Dear is this button up here that's called Combined View. So with our products being that we sell them, albeit beer in particular in kind of four packs, six packs, cases, they're what we call an alternate unit of measure of that master product.
1:01 So almost like a sub-product. So what we can do is click this combined view and this combined view here. What it actually does is it'll actually pull those together.
1:12 So you can see how this has got three additional units and all these products. It means that you don't get overwhelmed by, you know, which is the correct one to pick.
1:20 This will always be the main master product for it, and it always have these additional units attached to it. So one what we can do with this page as well is there is a whole load of different columns as well.
1:33 So if we click this cog, we can add in the type. So the type is that unit of measure. So you can see that these are all the master types.
1:43 But if we were go to the All Products view is, you can see that the type is a 6 pack or a single or a case of 12.
1:48 So it'll show you what that unit measure is. We can go to brand, we can also go down where was it?
1:56 We can also go down to, maybe it's in the Combined View. We can delete other kind of columns. The columns are also all completely movable.
2:06 You can drag them and make them wider, if you've got a long title. Maybe that's it for this. Oh, you can have it whether or not we're selling it or whether or not it's archived as well.
2:18 So for details for products, so that's kind of just your overview, overview table. But if you wanna know more actually about the individual products' details, what we'll do is let's go into say the 4 Pines Stout.
2:31 So this is gonna populate the page for the details. You're gonna have your typical kind of details. You got your SKU, your product name, your type.
2:39 So this is where if we were to have a service or a non-inventory, so service could be Freight. A non-inventory product could be I, something that we don't wanna keep track of the inventory, but we wanna enter it like pens is a really good example.
2:52 Your Category is gonna be say, craft beer or gift packs or mix packs. The Brand is generally the brewery.
2:57 The costing method is something that we'll come to another video. But that's whether or not we want to do kind of by expiry dates or track that sort of tracking.
3:08 Unit of Measure - it'll always be Master unless it's a (additional) unit of measure, and then Bill of Materials, which we'll come to in another video.
3:14 And the rest of the details are kind of not really necessary except for Barcode. On the left is where you can go down and you've got all the other different information.
3:23 So you've got all your Pricing. So you've got all these different pricing tiers. This staff tier here is based upon a markup.
3:30 The reason it's got a red there is because it hasn't got a cost in it. So it can't do a percentage markup on no cost.
Note: a product will have no unit cost if it has not been received into Dear yet or has been received/stock adjusted up from zero but at a $0 cost. Receiving a product through a PO will give it a unit cost (assuming we are being charged for it on the invoice), and we can also give it a unit cost by completing a "Zero stock" stock adjustment - where we can adjust the stock of a product which has 0 stock on hand to whatever we actually have on hand and ensuring we give it a unit cost there (ex-GST cost per single unit).
3:36 But this is where we do our pricing. So the top tier is what we wanna sell it at, so $5.
3:41 That's this retail tier. So this is where we can go in and adjust pricing. Stock, because this will be where you've got stock and then what location is in, if it's on order, on hand.
3:52 And then other different ones. So, we'll, we'll, we'll cover these in a different video, but the ones to really look at is just this General and then the prices for adjusting details and names and so on.
4:03 So that's the main viewpoint for Inventory in Dear.
