Creating Multiple Coupons at Once

Random Generator

1. Open RandomCode Generator https://www.randomcodegenerator.com/en/generate-codes

2a. Scroll down and select Amount of Codes – e.g. enter 500

2b. Untick Lowercase

3. Select output result to CSV File

4. Create a new folder with the date e.g. 27-01-16 in Dropbox\Beer Cartel\Marketing\Coupons\PURPOSE and save the file as “NUMBER_unique_codes $/%OFF DD-MM-YY PURPOSE” e.g. 500_unique_codes $10 OFF 27-01-16 Reviews

Excel Template

5. Open the file “Coupons $% OFF DD-MM-YY PURPOSE NUMBER” located in Dropbox\Beer Cartel\Marketing\Coupons\Create Coupons and attached below

6. Update Name column

7. Open the previously saved file with unique codes created e.g. “500_unique_codes $10 OFF 27-01-16 Reviews” – copy and paste these codes into the Code column

8. Update Amount column

9. Update Type column. You can use the following discount types:

• per_item_discount

• per_total_discount

• shipping_discount

• free_shipping

• percentage_discount

10. Update the column “Expires” to X months after the current date e.g. current date is 27-01-16 + 4 months = 2016-05-27.This needs to be written in YYYY-MM-DD format.

11. Copy Column L "Name" and then Paste Special (Cntrl + Alt + v) into column A selecting Values

12. Delete columns J-L

13. Select Save As > Other Formats > CSV in the folder created previously at (4.), update the file name with the current date and save file. You will be asked if you wish to keep the workbook in this format, select Yes

14. Re-open file and check that Expires is written in YYYY-MM-DD format.

Spring Merchant

15. Go to Spring Merchant https://www.beercartel.com.au/content/app.html

16. Enter Beer Cartel API Username and Token from LastPass

17. Select CSV from (12)
