We have 2 different types of CO2 gas cylinders in store.
3 x 2.6kg CO2 gas cylinders - these need to be refilled on site at Speed Gas
3 x 6kg CO2 gas cylinders (also known as D type) - these are on a swap and go system with Speed Gas and are the main cylinders used for our growler system.
When the last bottle is being connected one of the following needs to be done
Preferred Option: If needing the 6kg cylinders (D type) refilled you need to call up and ask for D Type cylinders with SPEED MIX (no just straight CO2) with Swap and Go of our empties. Cost is $40 for a 6kg cylinder.

Subject: 6KG CO2 Refills for Beer Cartel
Hi Guys,
Could we please get [INSERT NUMBER OF BOTTLES NEEDED] x CO2 6KG (D Type) refills with your swap and go (with Beer Gas – Speed Mix 55).
Any issues let me know - are you able to confirm when they would be delivered?
Please confirm receipt of order.
Thanks,
Richard
If Needing CO2 Straight Away: If going to Speed Gas to have 2.6kg bottles filled then you need to call ahead and make sure they have availability to fill the cylinders. Cost is $25 per cylinder to fill (2.5kg cylinder which we have), ideally both are filled at the same time.

N.B. Each bottle has a check valve inside which can screw out. This is standard fitting in the manufacturing process to meet Australian Standards. Like all check valves it stops fluid from entering the gas bottle. Speed Gas often remove these when refilling as the pin inside can get stuck and therefore stop the flow of gas to the gas line (usually when home brewers don’t use their equipment often enough). However, leave these in as bottles without them need to get checked and certified every 5 years, compared to with these check valves in (certified / checked every 10 years).
