Link building is a critical component of SEO and obtaining backlinks from relevant and high authority pages is great to do.
One method of creating links is to create an infographic that is then shared and embedded on various blogs and websites. Ideally these blogs and websites then attribute Beer Cartel as the creator and source of the infographic and add a weblink back to our website under the article / blog post / embedded infographic.
Sometimes however websites will either forget to sight us and don't provide a backlink or they will sight another website where they found the infographic / content (e.g. an infographic sharing website). In these instances it is a good idea to reach out and get in contact with the websites to request that they either add a link to us as the creator / source or that they change the current sighted source to be Beer Cartel. Below is an example email that can be used when doing this:
Hi Guys,
I noticed that you have our infographic on your site - thanks for sharing it!

Was wondering if you could change the weblink and sight us as the actual creators/source and not Love Infographics?
Website is www.beercartel.com.au
Thanks in advance!
