Entering Movember Ticket Sales in RSA

There are two ways to enter Movember Raffle tickets, both need to ensure one key thing, that the cost matches the selling price so as to ensure the product reports a Zero Profit sale.

Individual ticket sales (e.g. as part of a larger order with beers, glassware etc)

Enter the order as you normally would, selecting the Movember PLU when entering. At the start of the Movember raffle appeal it should be double checked that this PLU is set up as a zero profit and as a GST free item.

At the end of Movember this PLU should have its stock zeroed out.

Bulk Entry (used to enter all those orders that only ordered Movember tickets)

For this you can you can use the Miscellaneous without GST PLU after following these steps:

1. Calculate the total of all Movember ticket sales you will be entering in this way, e.g. $3942.36

2. Go to the product PLU in RSA and change both the single and the average single price to be this amount ($3942.36). This will ensure that when the entry is made it is made at zero profit

3. Entry the order and charge it to Beer Cartel charge account. This should be done as a single line at the value calculated (e.g. $3942.36)

4. Once entered zero out the PLU and change it back to be a cost price of $10

We've been supporting Movember and its charities Beyond Blue and Male Cancer for the last 5 years. Why? Because it fits with everything we believe. Life like beer is all about quality over quantity. Movember and its supporting charity BeyondBlue helps to bring the issue of male depression into the spotlight. If you would like to get behind this great fundraiser then we would be extremely grateful. Our target for this year is to raise $3,000. With your help we are well on the way!

Throughout the year we receive dozens of requests for support of charity events. To ensure that we can best focus on our two charities of choice we do not offer donations to other charities.

Beer Cartel Annual Raffle: Help us support Male Depression and Men’s Cancer

Hope the run into Christmas is treating you well.

Each year we hold a Movember raffle to support Male Depression and Men’s Cancer. They are two causes we hold dear to our hearts and fit really well with everything craft beer stands for.

Last year we raised $3,500 - this year we want to double that.

The easiest way would be to provide a credit for one of the beers we have already of yours.

However if you have any amazing beers stored away, or something else you think would be a great addition to the raffle we’d be more than happy to take it.

The one requirement is that we need it by Wednesday next week so we can mailout to our database at the end of the week.

Would be great to get you involved in this - we'll make sure you're recognised as one of the contributors to the raffle.
