Assess Eligibility for Refund
Confirm the customer's eligibility for a refund based on their concern and the product return policy.
Process the Refund in Braintree
Log in to Braintree.
Search for the transaction using the relevant details (e.g., order number, customer name).
Click on the ID transaction hyperlink.
Select the Refund option.
Enter the refund amount (full or partial as appropriate).
Click Refund to process the transaction.
Document Refund Details
Copy the transaction details (e.g., transaction ID, refunded amount, timestamp).
Update Big Commerce
Log in to Big Commerce.
Search for the order number using the provided details.
Navigate to the View Notes section.
Paste the refund transaction details into the notes.
Click Save to ensure the update is recorded.
Inform the Customer
Respond to the customer to inform them that the refund has been processed.
Provide details such as:
Refunded amount
Payment method
Expected timeframe for the refund to reflect in their account.
Apologize for the inconvenience and thank them for their feedback.
