We can hold events upstairs in Beer Cartel. They can fit 24 at the tables and an additional 4 at a bench in front of the stairs.
The glasses to be used for the event can hold approx 120-150ml.
Leadup to the event
1. List the event on our website either as a product (if selling tickets), or blog post (or both).
2. Create event on Eventbrite using logon details (username: [email protected], password: 987reserve). Ensure following is done:
In Order Option - Order Form, ensure Mobile Phone is selected to be required
In Invite and Promote - Add to Facebook, link facebook account to Beer Cartel and Link to event to Beer Cartel. This will create an event on Beer Cartel page and also enable ticket sales from Facebook
3. List any events on the following pages as well as Facebook:

4. Promote via social media - encourage people to bring a friend.
5. Print flyers for in store to promote the event - include web address to register
6. Print in store sign-up sheets
7. Print Large Flyer to stick on computer in store.
Three days before the event
7. Send a SMS to the participants
a) For each contact put their [email protected] into To: in email
b) If lots of people to SMS use this template.
c) Enter SMS Message in body of email (Make sure you delete everything first) e.g:
Looking forward to seeing you at Beer Cartel's Introduction to Craft Beer Class Saturday @ 2pm! Please try to arrive 10 minutes early so we can start on time :) Cheers!

8. Send a reminder email to participants from Mailchimp - use [email protected] email
9. Send out 2nd to last social media post about the event
10. Check there are pretzels in stock for snacks - ordered via JB Metro
Night before the event
11. Put all beers to be tasted in the chiller
12. Ensure bathroom is clean & tidy with paper towels & toilet paper restocked
13. Ensure beer + water glassware, bowls for snacks, spittoon & water jugs are clean
14. Ensure tasting room is tidy & vacuumed
15. Make sure tasting book is up-to-date & printed
16. Print purchase sheets + redemption tickets e.g. free glass, 10% off singles, 5% off 6 packs & cases
17. Put beer to be featured in first shelves down stairs inc normal pricing or if using purchase sheets put onto a pallet for easy access
18. Ensure any giveaway product e.g. glasses are behind the counter
19. Print out list of people attending to check off people as they arrive & collect emails
20. Create event run sheet
21. Send out last social media post
Day of the event
22. Turn on air con.
23. Lay out tasting glasses & water glasses based on number coming (plus have additional glasses readily available if likely to have additional people turn up). Lay out water jugs + put snacks into bowls. Get boxes to put empties in.
24. Lay out tasting booklets + purchase sheets
25. Take payment for any additional people that turn up on the day, get anyone additional attendees to record name on sheet
26. Run event
27. Take orders during event and lay on tables out back for collection
Event cleanup
28. Tip out all part-opened beer bottles + spittoons + water jugs
29. Rinse any dirty snack bowls
30. Put all dirty glassware, water jugs & snack bowls in dishwasher and turn on
31. Put all opened beer cans/bottles in big skip bin
32. Spray/wipe tasting tables
33. Vacuum around tasting tables
34. Put aside any unused beer that is to go into our stock on hand
35. Turn off air con
36. Put through all order sheets
37. Unpin Event details from Twitter/ Facebook / Instagram
38. Take any stock that was used in tasting outside of donated stock out of RSA
