Deliveries occur during the day and include deliveries for beer, kegs, packaging products etc.
Driveway clearance for trucks.
We get all types of delivery vehicles from small vans and utes to large semi trailers and flat bed trucks. If the driver has any concerns regarding height the minimum clearance is 4.3 metres (this is located just at the top of the drive way ramp and the lowest point is the guttering). You can suggest that the driver puts down their airbags if they have them.
ALL deliveries need to be received and signed for so that there is a record of what has been received, with any issues being clearly noted (e.g. damaged items, issues with driver, missing items etc)
When accepting a delivery the following must be done.
- Check off that the stock received is what is on the invoice / packing slip. Place a tick next to each product ensuring that you are checking off the item specifics as well, e.g. bottle size / case size etc.
- Once all items have been checked off write your name clearly on the invoice / packing slip
- Date the invoice / packing slip.
- If there are any issues like breakages or missing items please mark this down and have the driver also sign and date the invoice / packing slip indicating he agrees with the issue being raised.
- Place the invoice in the invoice tray.
If a delivery comes without an invoice or packing slip use one of the "Stock Receiving with No Invoice" sheets (attached below) and fill this out with all relevant fields including product name and case size and quantity received etc.
If the delivery includes new stock that we have not stocked previously then:
- Write on the invoice whether the beer comes in 4 vs 6 pack vs loose
- Pick two bottles of each new stock line. Place one bottle on shelves that back onto the store - this is to be a reminder that a space needs to be created for this beer in store. For the 2nd bottle bring upstairs and place on Richard's desk so that this product can be created online.
BEER CLUB STOCK
For beers that are to be used in beer club packs these will be delivered from the middle of the month until the end of the month. As these are large volumes of stock these are to be left on pallets and placed up on pallet racking out of the way. Do not place on pallet racking down the back of the warehouse, only easily accessible pallet racking should be used. Ensure that a couple cases are taken off the pallet before being placed up.
