All products are available for Standard Australia Wide Delivery, but not all products are available for Specific Day/Express Delivery. Specific Day/Express Delivery is only available for a certain products and where the delivery postcode is within the Australia Post Express Delivery Network. It is only available for products that don't contain glass, anything containing glass has to go to via standard delivery. The reason for that is Standard delivery is manually handled throughout its transit to the customer while Specific Day/Express Delivery uses automated sorting machines and conveyor belts not suitable for glass, being fragile and easy to break. Specific Day/Express Delivery comes at an additional charge of $10.
We occasionally get enquiries from customers asking if their order is eligible for upgrade to Specific Day/Express Delivery. To check if an order can be upgraded to Express, you'll need to:
Click on the order number hyperlink in Re:amaze or copy and paste their order number into the search in Shopify.
Make sure that the order has not yet been dispatched from our warehouse. the order status will need to be Unfulfilled. If the item has been dispatched the shipping is unable to be upgraded.
Verify the product(s) ordered falls within the list of products available for Specific Day Delivery.
Verify that the shipping address qualifies for Specific Day/Express Delivery.
If the order can't be upgraded to Specific Day/Express Delivery, you'll need to let the customer know that purchased is not available for Specific Day/Express Delivery or that the recipient's address is outside Australia Post's Express Delivery Network. If the order is eligible for the upgrade, you'll need to:
Delete the order tags and Add a Follow-Up tag.
Send the customer a link to pay the additional $10 by creating a draft order (see Creating a Draft Order in Shopify).
Confirm that the payment has been received (the draft order should become an actual order upon payment) and mark the order as fulfilled.
Delete the Follow-Up tag and add a Specific Day Delivery tag and the appropriate delivery date (DD-MM-YYYY) tag.
Inform the customer that we have upgraded the order to Specific Day/Express Delivery for delivery on the requested date.
