Australia Post Cage Weights

Since December 2019 it is mandatory to have 2 labels on the side of the Aust Post cages which states the total weight of the cage AND its contents.

In total it can be up to a maximum of 600kg, of which 100kg is the weight of the metal cage itself + the weight of the goods inside.

To determine the weight to write on the label look at the manifest for the total weight. Add 100kg (cage weight) to the total weight to get your final weight. If the weight of the manifest is more than 500kg you will need to split it across 2 cages. Similarly if you have multiple manifest (e.g. Beer Cartel and Brewquets) you will need to add the two total weights from the two manifests PLUS add the 100kg of the cage.

The labels can be printed on the P-Touch label printer, label name is Australia Post Cage Weight Labels. Write the weights in texter so they can easily be seen and read.
