0:01 This is a video on how to look at stock availability and kind of inventory levels in Dear. So the first thing in what you wanna do when you come to the dashboard is come into Inventory and go down to Availability.
0:14 So the thing to know about Dear is that unlike say, others like Lightspeed and some more basic inventory systems, is that it actually splits out details and availability.
0:24 So in this screen, you don't look at kind of SKU numbers and categories, it's all about the inventory and the stock value.
0:32 So you come to this Product Availability [Inventory>Availability (under 'Search' heading)], you can sort it how you kind of want. And once again, same with the other views, is that you can alter these columns at the top.
0:44 So if I was to look at the ones that I like so I'm not really that bothered about category for this.
0:50 But I do wanna know the product name. I wanna know the on hand name. I wanna know the unit, the stock value, the on hand, available, on order.
1:00 So they're, they're the columns that I kinda like to look at. But what, what we can do is say we go and have a look at let's, what's a good beer for an example let's look at Akasha, right?
1:22 So in Akasha Freshwater, what we can see here is that it pulls up all, all the variants (additional units of measure) in this and there's a good reason why.
1:31 So we can see that on here on hand is how many we should have in the warehouse. So 3,605. But then you've got all these different variants.
1:41 So of, because they're a different unit of measure, we should be able to look at it and work out how many we could possibly sell of all those other ones.
1:51 So if we come across to here to available, the available ones is how many we have to sell. So we actually have a look at it and there's 24 cases (cases of 24).
2:01 So we should have 149 cases available to sell. And that should be 3,581 divided by 24. And that's the max amount of cases we can sell.
2:10 Same with the six packs, and same with the four packs. So that should show how many we could possibly sell of them.
2:16 And the other really important field in this is allocated. So allocated stock is where we might have preproduced an order or a production.
2:25 So for Limited Tinnie packs, when stocks coming in, we might be holding that stock for something. So what that is, is, this is a good example, is that there's 24 Freshwater Pale allocated.
2:33 So even though we've got 3,600 on five, technically only 3,581 are available. And if we were to click that, we'll be able to see why.
2:41 So in here, if we open this task up, okay, we can see that in this assembly which is a Birthday Dozens, which is obviously being worked on at the moment.
2:51 So it's been assembled, so the stock's being reserved, but it hasn't been processed yet. So that stock hasn't been reduced and put into the Birthday.
2:59 So currently it's allocated. And our stock levels of when we sell products is based upon that allocated number. So the main kind of numbers to look at are the allocated, the on order is also important.
3:11 So when you actually see purchase orders that are ordered but not received yet, they'll be also stock in 'on order'. So they're kind of the main things to look at.
3:21 But it is to note that the allocated is the one, ah so the AVAILABLE number is the number that will be being pushed to Big Commerce and also the number that'll be available to sell.
3:31 So that is just a brief overview of product availability.
