Process for sending out weekly emails via Mailchimp
1. Log into Mailchimp
2. Click on Campaigns in top right-hand corner
3. Select the last weekly email e.g. Weekly 07/01/15 and click replicate
4. Recipients: Send to a Saved Segment: Weekly Newsletter – should be selected
5. Click Setup – details should be as follows:
Name Your Campaign
Weekly DD/MM/16
Example: Weekly 14/01/16
Email Subject:
Store Update: New Beers from [LIST SOME TOP BREWERIES FOR WHICH NEW STOCK ARRIVED] + More!
Example: New Beers from Garage Project, Sierra Nevada + More!
From Name:
Beer Cartel
From email address
Title for your campaign (you'll see this in Google Analytics):
Weekly DD/MM/16

6. Click Design – click on the text that is to be overwritten and click the <> button that toggels between WYSIWIG and HTML coding
7. Now open Excel sheet titled Mailchimp Weekly Template located at Dropbox\Beer Cartel\Marketing\Newsletters
8. From the In Store and Growlers page enter new beers from the last week and growler information into the right of blue cells, do not worry about formatting as this is overwritten
9. Go to Tab EXPORT select the cell C2 and then Copy (Cntl + C) this data
10. Go back to Mailchimp and paste this data (Cntl + V) into the HTML section
11. Click the <> button and go back to WYSWIG format.
12. Remove the “ at the start and end of the text, Find (Cntl + F) and remove all 0’s from the new beer list that is for a single line without a beer name in the line (will appear just above the date).
13. Delete any extra lines that do not have products in them so the format looks good
13. Highlight the wording [ADD IMAGE HERE 450 x 450 PIXELS] and click on the Picture/Image button
14. Select the folder Dropbox\Beer Cartel\Marketing\Newsletters\Weekly Newsletter Photos and select the photo with today’s date and Upload
15. Change image dimensions to 450 x 450 and click Save & Insert image
16. Save & Close and then click Confirm
17. You should get the message “You’re all set to send!”
18. Highlight and Copy (Cntl+C) the Subject Line title without “” e.g. New Beers from Garage Project, Sierra Nevada + More!
19. Click “Plain-text email” and Edit and then Regenerate from HTML and Save
20. Click Social Cards – Paste (Cntl + v) in the Title the Subject Line you have just copied
21. On the image click next until you see the image you uploaded previously, click Save & Close
22. Click Send
