Manually Extending a Subscription
This can be done to Pay by the Month orders, e.g. a subscription that was purchased for 3 months but the customer wants to extend for another 3 months (6 months in total)
In Bold Subscriptions if you go to customer> edit> edit frequency> you will get an option to put in the number to increase the shipments. Select extra time period this is to be extended for. Customers will then be charged each month of the 15th for the extra months.
To manually recharge a subscription
If a card payment has failed on the 15th of the month the Bold subscription app will try to recharge the customer up to 3 times after the 15th (i.e. retries are attempted on the 18th, 21st and 24th of each month). Beyond this the month will be set to skipped and Bold will attempt to recharge on the 15th of the following month.
Should the customer want a charge to go through after these three retry attempts then this has to be done manually. In Bold Subscriptions find the customer, update the credit card (if required e.g. new card number), click the little pencil to edit, then click the 3 dots and select edit order date and change to a date in the current month. If the order has a status of "Pause" then change to resume the subscription otherwise the order will be skipped. To do this click on the word "Paused" and select Resume.
NOTE: After the recharge has occurred you will need to go back in and change the date back to the 15th of the following month. (otherwise it will stay as the date you changed it too e.g. the 28th of the following month.
